A nippy.host alternative is another service that turns photos, documents, a folder, or an HTML site into a public website with a shareable link, ideally one an AI agent can create on its own. Nippy's free plan holds 1 live site of up to 25 MB and keeps that free site online 30 days at a time with an email click to renew (Nippy pricing), while deed.page's Free plan holds 25 sites of up to 25 MB each, with no account, no email, and no default expiry (pricing).
Every Nippy claim below was read on nippy.host on November 6, 2026, with the source linked next to it. Plans change, so check their pages before you decide. The deed.page commands were run against production the same day with a 15-minute expiry, and the test sites were then deleted.
What is a good nippy.host alternative?
Nippy is built for people who want a gallery, a shareable document page, or a folder of files online with almost no setup. The homepage says "Confirm your email and it's live" (source), and free sites "stay online 30 days at a time — one click in our email keeps a site online for another 30" (source). If nobody clicks within 7 days the site goes offline; for 30 days after that one click brings it back, then it is deleted (source).
Nippy also connects Claude and ChatGPT over MCP at https://api.nippy.host/mcp, and connecting is free on every Nippy plan (source). That is a strong agent path once someone has confirmed their email and keeps clicking the keep-alive mail.
On deed.page the first publish needs nothing. One request returns the live URL and an owner token, the site stays up until you delete it, and the MCP server at https://deed.page/mcp works on the free plan with no sign-in and no renewal email.
Side by side (checked November 6, 2026)
| nippy.host | deed.page | |
|---|---|---|
| To publish | Confirm your email (source) | Nothing; token in the first reply |
| Free plan | 1 site, 25 MB (source) | 25 sites, 25 MB each, 10 GB transfer/month (pricing) |
| How long a free page lives | 30 days at a time; email click renews; offline then deleted if ignored (source) | No default expiry; opt-in X-Ttl |
| MCP | https://api.nippy.host/mcp, free on every plan (source) | https://deed.page/mcp, every plan, no sign-in |
| Cheapest paid plan | Basic, $8/month (source) | Hobby, $3/month or $30/year |
| Custom domain | Paid plans (source) | 1 on Free, 3 on Hobby (custom domains) |
| Photos / PDFs as galleries | Built-in galleries and document pages (source) | Static files only; no gallery UI |
Where Nippy is ahead: photo galleries, in-browser PDF and Office previews, shared folders, form replies on paid plans, and a drag-and-drop upload page (source). deed.page has no browser upload page, hosts static files only, and Free sites show a small "Published with deed.page" link that Hobby removes. Avatar 8 LLC also runs Cooper Email when a later flow needs an agent inbox — separate from hosting.
The one-line curl
curl -T index.html "https://deed.page/v1/sites?slug=menu-card-n8p4&ref=blog"
The reply, trimmed:
{"ok":true,"url":"https://menu-card-n8p4.deed.page/","version":"v1","version_url":"https://v1--menu-card-n8p4.deed.page/","token":"deed_tok_…"}
menu-card-n8p4 is only an example; pick your own slug. The token is shown once and deed.page stores only its SHA-256, so save it right away (token hygiene). Running the same command with -H "Authorization: Bearer $DEEDPAGE_TOKEN" keeps the URL. In our test an identical re-upload returned unchanged: true, and the v1-- permalink still served v1.
The MCP call
Add https://deed.page/mcp to Claude, Cursor, or any Streamable HTTP MCP client. "Put this page online" becomes one tool call:
{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"tools/call","params":{"name":"publish_site","arguments":{"slug":"menu-card-mcp-n8p4","files":{"index.html":"<!doctype html><title>Menu card</title><h1>Published over MCP</h1>"}}}}
Our test returned "ok": true and a live https://menu-card-mcp-n8p4.deed.page/. The MCP walkthrough covers updates, listing, and deletes.
Moving a site from nippy.host
Keep the folder or zip you uploaded. A folder goes up as one tarball:
tar -czf site.tgz -C site . && curl -X PUT "https://deed.page/v1/sites?slug=menu-card-n8p4" --data-binary @site.tgz -H "Content-Type: application/gzip" -H "Authorization: Bearer $DEEDPAGE_TOKEN"
Bodies over 4 MB use the large-site upload. Then send people the new {slug}.deed.page link, or point your own domain at it.
FAQ
Is deed.page free like Nippy?
Yes. Free costs $0 and covers 25 sites of up to 25 MB each, with no account and no email. Hobby is $3/month for 250 sites, a site password, and no badge.
Do I have to click an email to keep a deed.page site online?
No. There is no account inbox to check, and sites have no default expiry. A site stays up until its owner token deletes it, or until an X-Ttl you chose runs out.
When should I stay on Nippy?
When you want photo galleries, in-browser PDF or Office previews, or a drag-and-drop upload page for people who never use a terminal. Those are things Nippy does and deed.page does not.
