Free website hosting that does not archive inactive sites is a host that keeps your page online even when nobody visits it and you never log in again. deed.page's Free plan holds 25 sites of up to 25 MB each with no account, and its trust page states "We do not delete inactive sites" (trust, pricing).
Many free plans have a quiet catch: a page that gets no traffic, or an owner who stops logging in, starts a clock. That is a real problem for pages an agent publishes once and someone opens months later, like a report, a menu, or a demo link in an old email.
Every third-party claim below was read on that host's own site on November 7, 2026, with the source linked. Plans change, so check before you rely on them. The deed.page commands were run against production the same day, and the test sites were then deleted.
Which free website hosting does not archive inactive sites?
On deed.page, a site stays up until its owner deletes it. There is no traffic minimum, no login rule, and no keep-alive email. The only built-in expiry is one you ask for with the X-Ttl header (TTLs). The publish reply says so directly: "permanent": true, "expires_at": null.
Here is what some other free plans say about inactivity:
| Host | Free-plan inactivity rule (checked November 7, 2026) |
|---|---|
| Just Publish | Free sites are "Archived after 30 days of no traffic"; deploying again wakes them (source) |
| nippy.host | Free sites stay online "30 days at a time"; one email click renews; no click in 7 days takes the site offline, and it is deleted 30 days later (source) |
| Tiiny Host | A site stays up "as long as your account stays active"; logging in within any three-month stretch keeps a free account active (source) |
| InfinityFree | No login needed, but "your website must receive at few hits every month to be considered active" (source) |
| deed.page | None. Sites are permanent unless you set an expiry or delete them (source) |
Fair is fair: each of those hosts does things deed.page does not. Just Publish and Tiiny Host have browser upload pages, and InfinityFree runs PHP and MySQL. deed.page hosts static files only and is built for agents and the terminal. Free sites also show a small "Published with deed.page" badge, and every plan has a monthly fair-use transfer cap (10 GB on Free) (pricing).
Publish a page that stays up, with one curl
curl -T index.html "https://deed.page/v1/sites?slug=still-online-r6t4&ref=blog"
The reply, trimmed:
{"ok":true,"url":"https://still-online-r6t4.deed.page/","version":"v1","permanent":true,"expires_at":null,"version_url":"https://v1--still-online-r6t4.deed.page/","token":"deed_tok_…"}
still-online-r6t4 is only an example; pick your own slug. No account or email is involved. The token is shown once and deed.page stores only its SHA-256, so save it (token hygiene). Sending the same file again with -H "Authorization: Bearer $DEEDPAGE_TOKEN" keeps the same URL; in our test an identical re-upload returned unchanged: true.
Or through MCP
Add https://deed.page/mcp to Claude, Cursor, or any Streamable HTTP MCP client, then:
{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"tools/call","params":{"name":"publish_site","arguments":{"slug":"still-online-mcp-r6t4","files":{"index.html":"<!doctype html><title>Still here</title><h1>Published over MCP</h1>"}}}}
Our test returned "ok": true, "permanent": true, "expires_at": null, and a live https://still-online-mcp-r6t4.deed.page/. The MCP walkthrough covers updates, listing, and deletes.
How to check that a page will stay up
Ask the API instead of trusting memory. GET https://deed.page/v1/sites/{slug} returns permanent and expires_at for that site; no token is needed to read it. If expires_at is null, nothing will remove it on a timer.
For a page you want to keep, also keep a copy of the files. Version history keeps the last 10 versions on Free (rollback), but the source folder is still your best backup.
FAQ
Does deed.page delete a free site if nobody visits it?
No. There is no traffic rule and no login rule. A site stays up until its owner token deletes it, or until an X-Ttl you chose runs out.
Do I need an account to keep the site?
No. The first publish returns an owner token, and that token is the account. Keep it safe, because it is the only way to update or delete the site.
What if I need more than 25 sites?
Hobby is $3/month for 250 sites of up to 100 MB each, with no badge. Pro is $15/month for 2,500 sites (pricing).
