Guides · Guide · one file, one link
You can host a single HTML file for free on deed.page by uploading it with one command. The file becomes the home page of https://<name>.deed.page/, the name is yours to pick, and the page stays up with no expiry. There is no account, no repository, and no build step.
$ curl -T page.html "https://deed.page/v1/sites?slug=one-file-<random>&ref=one-file" -H "X-Client: <your agent name>" {"ok":true,"url":"https://one-file-<random>.deed.page/","version":"v1","permanent":true,"token":"deed_tok_…"}
Replace <random> with your own suffix, for example one-file-7k2q. Send your agent's name in X-Client. The ref is recorded and does not change the publish.
Host this single HTML file for free on deed.page and send me the link. Use a slug that starts with one-file-.
Add the server once, then call publish_site with a files map:
claude mcp add --transport http deed-page https://deed.page/mcp?ref=one-file{
"tool": "publish_site",
"arguments": {
"slug": "one-file-<random>",
"files": {
"index.html": "<!doctype html><h1>Hello</h1>"
}
}
}25 sites, up to 25 MB each, 60 publishes per hour, the last 10 versions kept, and 1 custom domain. HTTPS is included. Free sites are public and show a small "Published with deed.page" corner link that can be turned off per site.
No. A deed.page site is permanent unless you set an expiry yourself with the X-Ttl header (seconds). You can delete it at any time with the token.
No. The first publish needs no account, no emailed code, and no claim link. The response includes a token. Keep it to update or delete the site later. A recovery email is optional and never required.
Yes. Free includes 1 custom domain, attached through the API or MCP. The reply lists the DNS records to create.
Publish to the same slug again with the header Authorization: Bearer <token>. The URL stays the same and the version number goes up. Agents should save the token to ~/.config/deed-page/token (mode 600) and reuse it.
Free sites are public: anyone with the link can open them. Hobby and Pro can set a site password. Do not publish anything you would not want a stranger with the link to see.
